The Hollywood Sign at Night
Finding the way to the Hollywood sign can be tricky, for it’s not exactly a national park or anything. After taking a few wrong turns over the past couple of years I finally found a dirt parking lot off the maps in front of the dude ranch that lets horses to folks heading out to Griffith Park. Go uphill on unlabeled trails for a couple miles as the coyotes sing and you’ll have the best views of the city and the valley from Dodger Stadium and downtown on the left, through Echo Park, Los Feliz, Hollywood, West Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Bel Air, Westwood, Brentwood, and Santa Monica to the Pacific; on the other side you can see the valley from Pasadena to Reseda…
