San Francisco to Los Angeles

Day 7: Saturday August 16, 2003
On Saturday morning I packed up the car for the 400-mile drive south down California 101 to Lala land. The Pookster introduced me to Dip-Sum before we headed south and this dining experience comes highly recommended as the perfect hangover buffet. Outside San Francisco the scenery was somewhat lush, but as we pushed south through Steinbeck country it became more arid and sparse, not like the gold of Montana but more of a yellow-green. The Pookster was anxious to test out a newly acquired 70's era super 8 camera and the road trip was the perfect opportunity.

The further south we drove, the more desert-like the landscape became.

By nightfall we made it to my friend AS's place in Venice Beach.
