Before going back east I had a list of places to go in California and after getting the invite from CmG, a fellow recent graduate, I checked out San Diego over a weekend. The area has the nice weather of LA, with more greenery, bluer water, and less traffic. It’s about 140 miles southwest, right along the border with Mexico. I hadn’t noticed that my passport expired after 10 years in June, so Tijuana was out of the question…sigh. But I got to see seals in bay, check out the nightlife, and took a short tour of the USS Midway, moored as a museum right by the downtown.
