The Reagan Presidential Library and Museum is located in Simi Valley among mountains, ranch lands, orange groves, and million dollar estates about 30 miles northwest of Los Angeles. This area is where Reagan spent the most time during his life outside his presidency. The documents and mementos from Reagan’s life and time in office are stored and processed here, from tens of thousands of boxes full of documents, a slab of the Berlin Wall, and the retired Air Force One jet. During the Special Libraries Association tour the library staff explained that all the documents and objects will be properly sorted within their lifetimes, but the more significant and interesting items are on display in the museum. |
