Louisiana/Mississippii/Alabama/Georgia/South Carolina/North Carolina/Virginia

I took a slightly longer southern route through Louisiana instead of Arkansas to catch up with friends in Raleigh; a route I had never taken before. However, as I lagged through Mississippi, Alabama, and Georgia, I found that I wouldn’t be able to make it in time to fit into my friend’s busy schedule at Duke Law School. Still, I got to see the lush scenery of the steamy south over the last two days of the trip. I arrived in Northern Virginia on Thursday night, six days after I left. Not exactly a land speed record or good trucking time, but a pace keeping in touch with my usual roundabout way of doing things, taking time for fun and enough rest along the way.
