After making it halfway across the country in a little over 40 hours, including two layover “naps” in Motel 6’s, I made it to the Ft Worth/Dallas area. I think for a split second in west Texas I was driving asleep with my eyes open before snapping too and driving another 500 miles. I had my college friends CO and SM (recent newlyweds) to catch up with in Ft Worth and my aunt and cousins in Dallas. It was a nice little break before saddling up in the Cherokee and heading east for another 1500 miles.
