Kenneth Hahn State Recreation Area is located in a hilly, undeveloped area in the center of Los Angeles County, about halfway between the downtown and the ocean. There are a few miles of trails through the parched grassy hills and a fishing pond. It’s a nice wilderness reprieve from the LA sprawl, although there are man made touches and oil derricks here and there.
