On the last day of July the ALA student chapter had a picnic at Clover Park in Santa Monica. 20 some odd librarians and librarian friends and family members showed up for wieners, water balloons, and frisbee fun. Grilling back east in the summer can be a humid mess, but here the weather was sunny and cool, there weren’t any ants to fight off and in LA you never have to worry about rain during the summer.
