Fiencke family vacation 1982

During my childhood in rural Connecticut we came to the DC area almost every year for vacation. My great uncle had a summer house outside Rehoboth, Delaware. He built a tower with a different guest room on each floor and called it his “lighthouse”. Apparently he used to have wild parties there during the 40’s and 50’s. We would also hit the Mall in DC where my favorite pastime was going to the National Air and Space Museum for freeze dried astronaut ice cream in the gift shop. My dad encouraged me and my brother’s photo hobby and I put my 110 camera with flashcubes to good use.
